Gugulethu Sophie Mbatha - also popularly known as Gugu - is a British stage actress and film actor. Her fame was boosted by her role in BBC's 'Doctor Who,' a British science-fiction television show. Gugu scored a huge hit in this series, playing Tish Jones. Tish is the sister of Martha Jones. People loved Gugu's vibrant energy and spontaneity. Chelsea Joy Handler is a New Jersey native born in Livingston on the 25th of February, 1975. She was the eldest child in a family of six. Her mother was a domestic worker, while her father worked as a used-car dealer. Her mother is a German who came into America in the United States from Germany in 1958. In 1989 Handler was diagnosed with cancer and died ten years later. Handler was educated in Reform Judaism by her father who was Jewish. Handler was raised in a wonderful community with a wonderful upbringing. She was just 19 when she made the decision to relocate in Los Angeles and pursue acting. Handler became an actress to assist her. Handler made the decision to focus on stand-up comedy when she was 21, when she recognized the power of storytelling. Handler began her stand-up career being a part of the only female Oxygen cast, which was a part of a television show named Girls Behaving Badly. This series was known for its secret camera and the practical joke. This reality show ran from 2002-2005. The handler appeared in numerous shows including Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show The Practice as well as My Wife and Kids. Handler began her career as a journalist on The Tonight Show. Handler was given her first major break as she hosted her E! Show in 2006. The show was called Chelsea Handler. The show lasted for two seasons. Handler was a performer at The Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour at the American embassy the year after. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend & HBO have aired Handler's stand-up shows. In 2010 she was selected to host the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Roseanne is the only female ever to host VMAs.
